Shield

While you are a starter, a shield is given to you for free and nobody can touch you. When that phase ends, you buy your own.

🌱 Starter shield

Free, with no timer — every new player starts with one
Lose it and it comes back — the next time you respawn, as long as you are still a starter
Every new season — everyone becomes a starter again

🎓 You stop being a starter at

Any one of these — not all four:
100 monsters — bosses do not count
1,000 Material tiles
500 Wood tiles
200 Metal tiles

You keep the shield you have on until you die — after that, it does not come back.
